(1) Dated March 5, 1910; Mantle speaks of his inability to articulate how very grateful he is that Winter included him in the list of those whom he sent that "wonderful" story. (2) Mantel thanks Winter for his reference to the "late unpleasantness" in which he and the Messr. [Shaker?] and Mr. Percy [Hammerick?] were involved. Includes envelope dated March 11, 1910.
